Fawn Frenchies (Stump)

Fawn French Bulldogs are among the most common color variations. This warm, tan shade ranges from light to dark, often accompanied by a black mask. Brindle Frenchies, on the other hand, sport a striking coat pattern with streaks of darker color overlaid on a lighter base. These patterns create a visually appealing and distinctive appearance.

3

Cream

Cream French Bulldogs boast a light, creamy coat that exudes elegance and sophistication. While less common, cream Frenchies are highly sought after for their soft, luxurious fur. Pied French Bulldogs exhibit a predominantly white coat with patches of color distributed across their bodies. This unique pattern gives them a playful and endearing look.

Blue

Blue French Bulldogs are renowned for their striking bluish-gray coat, which sets them apart from other color variations. This rare hue is highly coveted by dog enthusiasts seeking a unique and eye-catching companion. Despite their rarity, blue Frenchies are in high demand due to their distinctive appearance and charming personality traits.

5. Lilac French Bulldogs

Prized for their rare and exquisite coloring, which features a dilute variation of the blue gene, and the cocoa gene, resulting in a stunning light purple-gray coat. This unique hue sets them apart from other Frenchies and makes them highly desirable among dog enthusiasts. Lilac French Bulldogs often exhibit captivating eyes that complement their enchanting appearance, making them a coveted addition to any family. Two copies of blue (dilute) and two copies of chocolate (cocoa) is how you create the lilac color. Lilacs can come in fawn, tan points, brindle or platinum (covered in cream).

6. Chocolate

Showcase a rich and luxurious coat color reminiscent of decadent chocolate. This deep brown hue, caused by a recessive gene, gives them a distinctive and indulgent appearance. With their charming personalities and striking coloring, chocolate Frenchies are sure to capture the hearts of those seeking a unique and affectionate companions. To create the chocolate/cocoa color you need two copies of Cocoa in any given dog. Both parent need to at least carry the gene in order to produce a chocolate puppy.

7. What is a Husky or Koi Frenchie?

Some of the newest trends in the French Bulldog breed are the Husky and Kois. Although there is still speculation, the husky gene is believed to much like the pied (piebald) gene in French Bulldogs. The difference is the Husky gene is not a gene found in standard Frenchies. Because of this, when testing a Husky Frenchie for pied, they will test negative for the pied allele. The Husky gene is believed to be introduced from the Pug breed. The Panda Pugs are the ones used to introduce the pattern to the Frenchies. Pied and Husky are similar in the fact that both genes hide parts of the dogs' color and turn it into white. The biggest selling point for the Huskies is the Icy Blue eyes. Everyone wants a French Bulldog with true blue eyes that remain blue even as an adult. A Koi is nothing but a Frenchie with the Husky gene and Merle gene. Husky + Merle = Koi. Some Huskies and Kois were sold for upward of 300,000 dollars a couple years ago. The market has definitely taken a hit in the last couple years but has also gained popularity as the quality of these dogs has trended upward.
